Something from Nothing

We had a good turnout of families and friends at our “Something from Nothing” end of term celebration on 29 June.  The  children displayed the wearable arts creations their teams had made during the previous weeks, and then the students each displayed the projects they had been working on during their Home Days last term.

Their Home Days assignment had been to make a toy, a decoration, or something useful using recycled materials from around the home.  We had an amazing array of creations, including a floor mat made from plastic bags, a robot costume, a toy car, a [really powerful!] dart gun, candle holders, a projector for a mobile phone screen, and a marble run.

Thanks, also, to the mums and dads who helped their children with these projects.  We hope you enjoyed working on this with them.

Here are some pictures from the evening…

I have been the Principal at Living Way since 1999, when my wife and I and our family moved here from Auckland.
We have loved being part of the Wellsford community, our local church community, and of course, the school community at Living Way.
I believe strongly in the value of Christian Education to help parents raise children that are strong and healthy, who love God and who will make a positive difference in the world around them.
